Activities & Groups

St Hildeburgh's has many and varied groups and activities. For young people, there are 'Voyagers', 'Messy Church' and 'Mums & Tots'. For the whole community, there are activities such as the 'Bacon Butty Brunch' every Tuesday. For senior citizens we have a luncheon club and a monthly soup & sandwich lunch (the latter caters in particular for those in residential care homes). For others, there is 'Pearls' (a monthly social and speaker group), Mothers Union and Ladies Guild. There is a social committee that organizes regular social events including the annual Christmas Tree Festival in December. We have an active choir - to which new recruits are always welcome.

Bacon Butties

Every Tuesday, 10.30am to 12.00 Noon in the Church Centre (behind the church). For all members of the local community - everyone is welcome! A bacon butty, and a cup of tea or coffee. A time for something to eat and to enjoy some company. No charge but donations are always welcome.

Messy Church

A very fun and informal afternoon of activities, fun and food for all the family. Held every couple of months on a Saturday.

Voyagers

Mums & Tots

There is a special 'Mums & Tots Service' in the church on alternate weeks when the group is meeting.

Pearls

Meets once a month during the afternoon. Speakers, fellowship and refreshments for all ages.

Mothers Union

After an absence of several years, St Hildeburgh's has just refounded a branch of this national organization.

Luncheon Club

The Luncheon Club meets on the last Friday in the month. A home cooked meal - mainly catering for older members of the community - in the St Hildeburgh's Church Centre.

Soup & Sandwich

Held once a month, the soup and sandwich lunch is mainly for those in residential care homes and others needing support. Carers and family members are very welcome.

Choir

We have an enthusiastic choir and new members are always very welcome. Please contact our Organist, Rob Shannon, for details.

Ladies Guild

This important and dedicated group arranges the flowers and festival decorations and ensures that the church is kept clean, tidy and generally 'spic and span'!
